From the land of the Bluenose......it was a wet old morning but I had a rendezvous with my buddy from Cape Breton, Donnie White at the Tim's on Young and Robie which by the way was the first one in Nova scotia and a blessed day it was when it opened.
Took Donnie and his Garrett 2500 to the Dingle and we did the old trail that was used by the prisoners from Melvin Island Military Prison which dates back to the early 1800's.
Half way down the trail Donnie had netted a Vickie penny and another large cent and I just a few modern ones when he popped the Spanish coin which, although bent is otherwise in great shape.
Back at the vehicles before going to the next stop Donnie gives his prize find another look.
Next stop and we both pull out a few modern coins with Donnie adding an old bullet to his collection. My Freedom 3 was in a hissy fit and on the fritz like it's owner who was a little sore from the games the day before, still a little sorer from the wet weather on the arthritis and even sorer by the night before with Bud for "medicinal purposes."
We called it a day and Donnie had to take his better half shopping. Here is his take for the outing and a good one it was.
My meager finds. Changed the coil on my Freedom when I got home and all was well.
