| Well we went out for a few hours today with my brother. Brogan (Bob) my brother found 4 pennies, one being a 1937 Wheatie. I found a 1911 Wheatie which made me smile. We were checking out a new spot and I think it might give up a few more coins in the future. Detected some around a cornfield as well. Found a few buttons and some random metal items. Met a really nice lady out there as well who was an archaeologist and a member of a local conservation group who manage some of the land around where we live. We had a nice conversation and I learned some more about the local history. Here is a picture of the 1911 Wheatie: | |
