| Subject: 8/3/08 4th hunt with my SE - I Finally broke the 1900 barrier!!!! Sun Aug 03, 2008 7:25 pm | |
| Today me and my bud Goio went out for a hunt, we were checking out new spots - but the finds are few and far between not to mention that it felt like 100+ degrees outside. My IH was so worn & corroded that we couldn't tell what date it was. When I got home I cleaned off some of the buildup that was on it. The date is barely readable, I had to put some water on it so that it would collect in the faint crevasses of the coin. But to my supprise it is an 1894 - so this is now my oldest coin that I dug!!!! She is ugly, but I'll take her home... I also had a pouch full of pulltabs, rusty nails, & just flatout junk, but nobody wants to see all of that garbage. This makes the 4th IH that I got with my SE!!! Again I have to give props to Goio for all of his help, thanks bud. This is what I went home with: I hope you all had a chance to get out and do some treasure hunting. | |
