From the land of the Bluenose.....lot of love going around today! Navy Davy who sucked up big time to Mrs. Navy Davy to get the Impala. The Tim's girl who called him dear as we ordered the usual. And what do I get.....a lick on the chops from one of Slickpick
Rick's dog and that is only after I gave him the butt rub and found his funny spot which causes his back leg to rotate like an old submarine diesel engine.

With the out of the way SPR took us to an old trail along side a river which was an adventure in itself with all the drops, muck and brooks to cross!

Of course we were all huffing and a puffing but I did stop to admire the local fauna and flora while catching my breath and cursing old age.

We then hit an area where a stone wall was built up to fortify the trail.

Shortly after this SPR pulled out the find of the day..a 1864 Yank 2 cent piece.and a fine one it was. Three kilometers in the woods and still wondering how it got there! Then again I found this way the herring out there!

Must have been off one of the early Crowmagnum dog walkers.

Anyway we backtracked not coming to the end of the trail which goes on for who in the halibut knows and drove immediately to a Tim's for some gogo juice and to clean up.......not! There was a broken water main in Wolfville so we settled for a joe and a donut with some muck from our digs.

Time for quantity not quality as we then drove to a playing field to round off our day with SPR still on a high from his great find!

Dropping SPR off after some serious butt rubbing (Marie hasn't seen all the dog hair on my clothing yet) we headed home.

Slickpick Rick's 42 coins including the 1864.

Navy Davy's group of 21 including the bracelet found on the trail.

Bluenoser's 2 dog tags, and 61 coins @ $2.23

Couldn't wait to get home and get cleaned up as the old plague of nature calls hit me when I was in the woods.......leaves and twigs abound! Mind you that once I hit the shower at home I watched a few Douglas Firs slide down the drain!
